The 1967 St Raphaels Buccaneers will increase their size somewhat, and use Joe Genero arranged music from the Broadway hit "Man of La Mancha". The 'Man of La Mancha Overture' will serve as the 'off the line', and the corps will leave the field to the sounds of "The Impossible Dream". Ray Ludee, the drum instructor of the Connecticut Hurricanes is on board as the Buccaneers percussion man.

An excerpt from the 2 August 1967 issue of Drum Corps News by staff writer the late Jay Tobin:
"St Raphaels Buccaneers not only come off the line to a long and brilliant treatment of the "Man of LaMancha" overture, they go off to a beautifull solo led presentation of "The Impossible Dream" from that same show"
"Their drum line is strong, as are the horns, especially in their wild concert of "Trumpet Blues" (at the end of which, in Pompton Lakes last month, the field lights actually went out...talk about lung power). The Joe Genero touch is also evident in "A Taste of Honey" and "Fairest of the Fair" suggesting the drive of the (not unexpectedly) senior Connecticut Hurricanes"
